Important Aftercare Steps for Your Makeup
Gentle & Thorough Cleansing
Before going to bed, always remove your makeup completely. Use a dedicated makeup remover or a gentle cleansing oil to dissolve all products, especially around the eyes. Follow up with a mild face wash to ensure your skin is perfectly clean and can breathe overnight.
Hydrate to Rejuvenate
After cleansing, your skin needs moisture. Apply a nourishing, non-comedogenic (won't clog pores) moisturizer or a calming serum. This helps to soothe the skin, restore its natural barrier, and keep it looking plump and healthy for your next big event.
Hands Off! Avoid Touching Your Face
While your makeup is on, try to avoid touching your face as much as possible. The natural oils on your hands can break down the makeup, cause smudging, and transfer bacteria, which can lead to breakouts.
Blot, Don't Wipe
If you get oily or perspire during your event, use a gentle blotting paper instead of wiping your face with a tissue. Press the blotting paper gently onto the shiny areas. This will absorb excess oil without disturbing the makeup underneath, keeping you looking fresh for hours.
